NetScaler 13.1-FIPS achieves NDcPP certification

February 27, 2025 by Suman Rajaraman

NetScaler 13.1-FIPS achieves NDcPP certification from NIAP and the CCCS

This post was co-authored by Rohit Raveendran, NetScaler Principal Product Marketing Manager

NetScaler has achieved Network Device Collaborative Protection Profile (NDcPP) certification from the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP). Through achieving NDcPP certification, we at NetScaler are reinforcing our commitment to delivering secure, compliant, and high-quality networking solutions that meet the stringent demands of U.S. government agencies, which require NIAP certification of all vendors they partner with.

NDcPP certification is the most frequently used Common Criteria protection profile for networking devices. Common Criteria is an international standard for evaluating the security of IT products that provides a framework for specifying security requirements and evaluating a product’s compliance with those requirements.

NDcPP serves as a foundational standard for securing network-connected devices, and its certifications are widely recognized beyond Common Criteria member states and markets. NDcPP certification ensures that a network device meets rigorous security standards by verifying its safety and compliance for high-security systems and government use. It provides independent validation that the device has been rigorously tested and adheres to industry best practices for security.

NDcPP certification validates that NetScaler adheres to globally recognized security standards and ensures robust protection against cyber threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches. It also demonstrates NetScaler’s dedication to helping you navigate complex regulatory environments by providing solutions that align with industry best practices and compliance requirements.

NetScaler 13.1-FIPS achieves certification by the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security

In addition to achieving NDcPP certification from NIAP, NetScaler has also received NDcPP v2.2e certification from the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (CCCS) for models MPX FIPS 15000-50G, MPX FIPS 8900, MPX FIPS 9100, and VPX-FIPS running version NetScaler 13.1-FIPS.

NDcPP v2.2e establishes standardized security requirements for application delivery controllers (ADCs), ensuring strong authentication, access control, auditing, data protection, and overall device security. It mandates essential cybersecurity features such as secure administration, cryptographic protection, software integrity checks, and comprehensive auditing to safeguard network infrastructure, enhance interoperability, and ensure the secure handling of sensitive information.

The CCCS declared that the evaluation of NetScaler 13.1-FIPS meets the requirements of NDcPPe v2.2e for the evaluated security functionality. NetScaler is listed on the Certified Products list (CPL) for the Canadian Common Criteria Program and the Common Criteria portal.

NetScaler NDcPP certification reinforces our commitment to application security

NDcPP certification of networking devices like NetScaler FIPS 13.1 provides assurance that those network devices meet standardized security requirements. By requiring manufacturers of networking devices to adhere to international security standards in order to achieve NDcPP certification, Common Criteria requirements provide a consistent baseline of protection against vulnerabilities and attacks.

NetScaler’s NDcPP certification provides you:

  • Assurance that NetScaler FIPS 13.1 models are resilient against known vulnerabilities, reducing the risk of data breaches and cyberattacks
  • Third-party validation of NetScaler’s security capabilities by an accredited laboratory that conducts the testing
  • Trust in the security of your deployments across private and public sector environments

NDcPP certification also simplifies procurement processes for the many organizations that require NDcPP compliance for network infrastructure.

NetScaler’s NDcPP certification provides assurance that you are investing in a trusted, rigorously tested solution designed to strengthen application security, ensure business continuity, and meet the evolving demands of modern, mission-critical networks.
