Achieving zero-trust access with FIPS-certified NetScaler 13.1

January 18, 2025 by Suman Rajaraman

Achieving zero-trust access with FIPS-certified NetScaler 13.1

In today’s increasingly complex and regulated digital landscape, ensuring robust security measures is paramount, particularly for government agencies and organizations handling sensitive information. The Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) provide a benchmark for cryptographic modules with regard to data security and integrity.

FIPS compliance is essential for protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) while maintaining a flexible and adaptive security posture. Citrix is committed to delivering FIPS-compatible secure access solutions that meet the evolving needs of its customers for zero trust on-premises deployments.

If you are using NetScaler 13.1 FIPS, you can now upgrade to the latest NetScaler 13.1 FIPS release (13.1-FIPS.37.219) to use the Citrix Secure Private Access add-on, which is compatible with NetScaler 13.1 FIPS. Citrix Secure Private Access provides zero trust network access (ZTNA) with an on-premises data plane to enable secure remote access to applications and data and is encrypted according to FIPS-approved standards.

Key benefits

NetScaler 13.1-FIPS along with the Citrix Secure Private Access add-on is ideal for government agencies, healthcare organizations, financial institutions, defense agencies, and other organizations that handle sensitive data as part of their routine operations.

Key benefits include:

  • Secure data transmission: Ensure all data transmitted within Citrix Secure private Access is encrypted according to FIPS-approved standards
  • Compliance: Meet federal regulations and compliance requirements for data security
  • Sensitive information protection: Safeguard CUI and other sensitive data from unauthorized access

How to get NetScaler 13.1 FIPS with the Citrix Secure Private Access add-on

To get NetScaler 13.1 FIPS with the Citrix Secure Private Access add-on for on-premises deployments, download the latest NetScaler 13.1-FIPS release (13.1-FIPS.37.219).
