It’s been an eventful year for NetScaler. While the brand was reintroduced in fall 2022 with the formation of Cloud Software Group, the formal relaunch happened in May 2023 with a new brand identity and website. Other activities throughout the year built on the momentum and solidified NetScaler’s renewed position in the application delivery and security space. While we’ve always been an industry leader, the brand relaunch helped refocus our business strategy and reinvigorate employees, customers, and partners. With a clear focus on application performance, observability, and security, we made significant strides in 2023.
New brand identity
We wanted to create a brand identity that was simple, modern, and bold. The arrow shape in our new logo is a universal symbol of direction, progress, and scale. Embedded into the NetScaler name, the arrow suggests that our brand and our customers are always in motion, always innovating. Our primary blue color signals reliability, trust, and technology. These and other elements of our brand identity were the building blocks for netscaler.com — the starting point for learning about the NetScaler application delivery and security platform.
Renewed commitment to customers and partners
One focus area for the NetScaler leadership team in 2023 was to engage in person with customers and partners:
- We established a Customer Advisory Board of 29 customers based in the U.S. and Europe from technology, financial services, retail, healthcare, and other industries. In New York, London, and Santa Clara, we updated customers on our strategy and discussed how NetScaler can help drive business and IT transformation.
- We hosted 10 of our top North America channel partners for a Partner Day focused on new use cases to optimize and grow their NetScaler business practice.
- NetScaler was a sponsor of the Gartner IT Infrastructure, Operations & Cloud Strategies Conference and Nutanix .NEXT On Tour (in partnership with Citrix), and team members attended KubeCon and the HIMSS global health conference.
These were all valuable forums to better understand how we can continue evolving our platform as customers’ needs and priorities change.
Building community
For more than two decades, NetScaler has had a strong and loyal user base, typically within the platform engineering, site reliability engineering, networking, security, and application teams in mid-size companies and enterprises.
This year we created an online NetScaler Community to bring users together for discussions, webinars, demos, labs, and more. From February to November, the community site added 292 articles and 300 discussions and hosted 30 live demos and webinars. The NetScaler Community is a great place to connect with NetScaler users, product managers, and engineers. Our GitHub repository and Documentation site are additional technical resources.
In addition, this year we debuted The NetScaler Podcast and the NetScaler blog — two more ways for us to share updates and thoughts and trends around application delivery and security with our user community. And while you could already follow us on LinkedIn and X, we know that many of you rely on videos for learning, so we created a new YouTube channel. Whether you prefer to discover more about NetScaler through online discussions, hands-on learning, listening, reading, or watching, we now have a channel for you.
Looking ahead to 2024
In 2024 we plan to continue building the NetScaler brand and integrate more strongly with Citrix. We’ll be rolling out simplified licensing, new features, and a new name and updated UI for NetScaler ADM (our management plane). NetScaler is the platform that accelerates modern application delivery through innovations in configuration automation, network experience monitoring, and observability, and we will continue to grow and adapt alongside our customers.
