New CloudBridge platforms include Branch Repeater capabilities

The latest update to the CloudBridge product family incorporates Branch Repeater functionality and introduces two new models. With the versatility of the Branch Repeater WAN optimization family now merged with the CloudBridge cloud-networking feature set, enterprises can deploy secure and optimized connections to private clouds such as Amazon Web Services and Windows Azure, as well as to their own datacenters and branches. By expanding the cloud networking capabilities of the CloudBridge portfolio, Citrix gives enterprise IT owners additional options for meeting their ever growing application services needs. The new CloudBridge with the Branch Repeater integration offers increased functionality with a lower cost of ownership.

Enhanced video delivery

With video consumption in the enterprise growing at 200% annually, WAN bandwidth demands could grow significantly if left unmanaged.  The new CloudBridge platform provides improved video delivery to branch offices through optimized video caching, de-duplication and traffic shaping.

Introducing CloudBridge 2000 and 3000 series

Introducing the Citrix CloudBridge 2000 and 3000 series, the latest in a lineup of proven appliances that integrate and optimize your datacenters, branch offices and clouds. These highly scalable platforms now include all the capabilities of the award-winning Citrix Branch Repeater for WAN optimization and are ideal for large branch offices and smaller datacenters.

Amazon Web Services

CloudBridge is available in a virtual form factor that can be deployed directly on Amazon Web Services (AWS), enabling enterprises to seamlessly extend their enterprise network to AWS securely, transparently and with high-performance. Using CloudBridge to transparently bridge your enterprise network to AWS helps you:

• Simplify application migration
• Add security layers
• Mitigate network latency
• Minimize required application or network modifications
• Move production workloads securely and transparently between private datacenters and the AWS Cloud

Customers can consume CloudBridge on a usage-based model through the AWS Marketplace, making it easy to set up short-term cloud projects with no infrastructure investment. This approach allows customers implementing hybrid infrastructure spanning their own datacenters as well as AWS to use the same cloud networking platform in both, significantly easing the transition of applications and workloads between the two.

Windows Azure

CloudBridge connects to Windows Azure, so you can securely connect your enterprise datacenter to the Azure VPN gateway and access the IaaS and PaaS offerings from Microsoft. Since CloudBridge is deployed in the enterprise datacenter and not in the Azure environment, WAN optimization and L2 extension are not supported for this scenario.
