Three Citrix Executives Recognized by CRN as Top Women of the Channel

Citrix today announced that three of its leaders have been recognized as 2013 Women of the Channel by UBM Tech Channel’s CRN: Meika Darville, director, Worldwide Channel Programs, Tammy Richards, managing director, Worldwide Channel Marketing, and Junelle Swan, senior director, Americas Channels and Distribution. Darville was also named to CRN’s Women of the Channel Power 100, which honors an elite subset of the women based on their rank, influence, channel savvy and exceptional achievements.

CRN’s annual list recognizes nearly 300 female executives across vendor channel organizations, distributors and solution providers for their accomplishments over the past year, and the far-reaching impact they are having on the technology industry going forward. This year’s Women of the Channel were chosen by the editors of CRN based on their achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology channel. These women represent a changing trend in a traditionally male dominated industry.

“We honor and congratulate this list of influential women who are dedicated to supporting the mission of the channel,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, UBM Tech Channel. “For years, we have identified and celebrated the women who have made an indelible mark on the technology industry through unmatched innovation and razor focus on meeting the needs of the IT channel community.”

Leadership and innovation for the Citrix channel

All three Citrix leaders have made significant impacts to the development of the next generation of Citrix global channel initiatives while enhancing existing marketing programs and resources that provide a clear roadmap to growth and profitability across the Citrix partner ecosystem.

Darville, who has worked with the Citrix channel for 11 years, defined the strategy and launched the new global Citrix Solution Advisor program that provides new incentives and benefits making it easier and more transparent for partners to do business with the company. She led the design effort for automating partner sales reporting and membership management for 11,000 Citrix partners. She also laid the groundwork for a new competency program, slated for 2014, which will provide enhanced differentiation for partners. In addition, Darville integrated the partner programs from four Citrix acquisitions.

Richards, who has been with Citrix for 16 years, directed the design and launch of Citrix Partner Central, an exclusive partner portal to support partnership management and business growth. She also expanded the Channel’s central marketing platform, Citrix Marketing Concierge, with new demand-generation offerings and increased system capabilities. Richards forged stronger relationships through strategic alliance initiatives, such as the Cisco Partner Accelerator and the Citrix and Microsoft V-Alliance partnership, to jointly deliver robust and complete solutions to mutual customers. In addition, she and her team presented major industry events for global partners, including Citrix Summit.

Swan, leveraging 18 years of channel experience, launched programs and initiatives that led to significant year-over-year revenue increases across the Citrix Large Account Reseller sales organization. Through her leadership, the distribution team enhanced the Citrix partnership with Ingram Micro in North America, developing further enablement opportunities and marketing resources for partners. As a result, Citrix was named Ingram Micro’s Advanced Computing Vendor of the Year in 2011 and Cloud Vendor of the Year in 2012.

“We are honored and proud to have these talented leaders named to the 2013 Women of the Channel list,” said Tom Flink, Citrix vice president of Channels and Market Development. “Each of these individuals brings unique leadership skills to our team and each has made outstanding contributions to channel programs and solutions that drive growth and success for our partners and our company. We congratulate them for this well-deserved industry recognition from CRN.”

A special feature on the Women of the Channel is included in the June issue of CRN magazine, and expanded coverage of The 100 Most Powerful Women of the Channel will be featured online at www.crn.com.
